About Alexandre Ponte
Best known for his work as a lead guitar player all over Portugal, Alexandre is a composer/conductor with a unique style that has found its way into film scoring.
Alex's passion for music and storytelling is reflected in his beautiful and compelling compositions. His work can be found globally on all major music platforms, and he has also created scores for short films such as "The Life Underground" (2022) and "Ophelia" (2023). With his extensive knowledge and interest in music from around the world, Alex has a unique approach to creating music that resonates with audiences everywhere.
During his time in Sofia, Bulgaria, worked as a conductor with the European Recording Orchestra (ERO) and recorded several of his pieces, including his score for “The Life Underground”.
Currently, Alexandre is working on multiple projects. He is the conductor/orchestrator/arranger for "Contar e Cantar Abril," a quasi-musical that tells the story of Portugal's most significant moment in history, the 25th of April. The show features a band, a string quartet, and singers. Alexandre is also working with Tuniko Goulart, one of the world's best Brazilian guitar players, as a composer/arranger/orchestrator and music director on an upcoming show, which is yet to be announced.
